30 Day Blog Challenge-June 1st Question

What famous, or fictional person/character,
did you admire as a child? Donny Osmond, be still my purple beating heart!! My first crush, lol My bedroom walls were totally covered with Donny posters, curtesy of Tiger Beat magazine. His favorite color was purple, which became my favorite color, and remains my favorite color today. He always wore purple socks, me too. I owned all of his records, played them over, and over. The Donny & Marie show was my favorite show, watched it every Friday night. I saw him, and his entire family, in concert in Huntsville Alabama, when I was in the 4th grade. After the concert was over, I saw him getting on his tour bus. I started chasing the bus, as it was leaving the parking lot. Along with several other girls. Donny was sitting in the back of the bus, he held up a glass of milk, and smiled at me. I started screaming, and waving, lol I remember laying on the floor, watching the news one summer night. They broke in with a special report, announcing that Donny had gotten engaged that day. I got up, ran to my bedroom, fell on my bed, and broke down crying. I was totally heart broken. The dream was over, I would never become Mrs. Donny Osmond!!

  1. I remember the Donny & Marie show. Loved it, as far as I recall. (I was a child at the time.) Never had a thing for him, though. My celebrity crushes ended up for '80s stars...
