Poditrist Appointment

Well, today was my appointment with my podiatrist. I had several concerns to discuss with her. The ulcer on the back of my big toe,  on my left foot had several problems going on. Changing colors, holding a lot of heat, very hard, drying, flaking skin. As soon as she saw it, she looked at me with a huge frown on her face, and much concern. She said, you have cause for worry. She said the ulcer had opened up underneath the skin, and had been bleeding. It is what you call a pressure point, and has went really deep. When it gets to the bone, which she said, mine is at the very edge of the bone, they will have to cut the toe off. There can be no pressure put on the toe, or it will not heal at all. She put a total cast on my toe, and said I have to stay off of my feet. If I have to move around, I have to use a walker, or wheelchair. I am behaving, and doing what the doctor said. Please keep me in your prayers. I go back Thursday, May 19th, for a check-up.

  1. I've never been to a foot or podiatrist. My dad went to one because working on the rail road switching fright cars caused a lot of injury to his feet.

  20. Prayers for you, Denise. It's amazing how much pain a single toe can cause. I once ran one of mine into a street curb, thought I broke it. I could hardly walk for days. So, take it easy, and let the Great Physician do His healing work.

    GOD BLESS!

  23. You're in our prayers, Denise. We've been down this road with David's foot. He ended up having his right big toe amputated because it basically died. It was horrible and smelled really, really bad. If your toe starts having any kind of bad smell, be sure to go to the doctor right away. David almost waited too late. They said had he waited another day, I would have lost him.

You're in our prayers for complete healing and restoration. Have a blessed day!
