Cardiologist Appointment

Hello everyone, hope you all had a nice day. My husband was off today, so he was able to take me to my appointment, instead of my dad. Because my heart has been having some episodes of fluttering, and slowing down, and some chest pain, and I feel weak, and tired, I have to do another holter monitor test next weekend. Why do people wear Holter monitors? I have arrhythmia.Regular electrocardiograms (ECGs or EKGs) let your doctor look at your heart’s activity at one point in time during your ECG test. But abnormal heart rhythms and cardiac symptoms may come and go. That’s why your doctor may want to evaluate your heartbeat over time while you go about your normal activities.  You may be asked to wear a Holter monitor if you have fast, slow or irregular heartbeats called arrhythmias.

Wearing the monitor may tell your doctor:

• If your medicines are working.
• Why you have symptoms such as dizziness, faintness or the feeling that your heart is racing or skipping a beat.
• If your heart is getting enough oxygen to meet its needs.

The doctor also said the neuropathy in my feet and legs was worse, said he could tell by the coloring. Was not a very good day, until after my doctor appointment was over. Then, my husband took me to Speedway, and bought me my favorite icee, diet caffeine free mountain dew, yummy in my tummy!!When I got home, I had a very nice surprise waiting. I had received a box, that I had won from my blogging friend, Cheryle.  It was filled with goodies, truly touched my heart. Thanks so much Cheryle, love you.
