Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. If you could sit beside and/or jump in any lake in the whole wide world today, which lake would you choose and why? Michigan, largest lake in the country.

2. What's your favorite 'fruity' drink? Lemon slush from Sonic.

3. I read a list here of thirteen things to do right now to simplify your life. They were-
clean as you go, re-evaluate your relationships (cut toxic ties), unsubscribe (too many blogs and websites), de-clutter, write down your daily goals, reply to emails right away, forget multitasking, create a morning routine, re-evaluate your commitments (which hobbies and responsibilities are most important to you), say no, clean up your computer, and plan your day ahead

Which of the tasks listed do you currently find most helpful, in keeping life simple? Which item on the list should you adopt, in order to simplify your life this month? Create a morning routine, Plan your day ahead. I need to adopt de-cluttering.
4. What did you do the summer after you graduated from high school? Worked at an amusement park.

5. Are you a fan of podcasts? If so what's a favorite? Not a fan.

6. Do you think today's fathers have it harder, easier, or just different than fathers in the past? Harder.

7. Tell us one way you're like your father? Or not at all like your father, if that's easier? Not at all like my father.

 8.  Insert your own random thought here.

  1. You're not like your father? I'm quite a bit like mine. Whether that's a good thing or bad...

  2. Great answers...always enjoy getting to know our bloggy friends better. But, I really like the sign at the end...so true. God has a plan and it's a good one! Happy Wednesday, dear Lady.

  3. The lake I go to is Lake Erie. It's the closest to me and I have spent many wonderful hours just watching the waves roll in.

  4. I like #3. Lots of good ideas there. I periodically de-clutter and I find that wonderfully liberating! Have a great day.

  6. Today's fathers do have it tougher, i agree. Too many silly messages in the media about how the dad is clueless and the kids know everything. Children are internalizing that and it's not healthy for them. Fathers have a difficult time overcoming the messages that are fed us daily about them.

  9. Of course, Michigan! Our kids are going there this summer and it looks so beautiful, clean and clear. So far, I don't think any of the bloggers are podcast fans. I really wasn't even sure what it is.

  21. I'm all for decluttering. Isn't it amazing how fast things clutter up your life without realizing it?!

Praying for you sweet, friend. Believing God is going before you and is making a way where there seems not to be one. Love you.

  29. Loved all the thoughts on this one. I really liked the list of 13 things to do.
I hope I have a compassionate heart like my father did. Father's today do have it harder, partly because they help their wives more than they used too. I would love to swim in Fish Lake, Utah. Thanks for some memories on this one! Blessings, love and hugs~

Lucky you. (I hope you don't mind when I borrow your lists. They are such fun. If it is a problem I hope you will say so.)
